Thanks for helping Manila's street children

Sir -  I would like to thank the generous business community in Wickersley for donating amazing raffle prizes and allowing us use of their pubs for the fun event in aid of the S.C.O.T.S Foundation in the Phillipines.

The Foundation saves children of the streets in Manlla and desperately needs help to complete the building of an orphanage.

On Sunday we were able to raise almost £1,200 to help them achieve their aim. A huge thank you must also go to Alan and his staff at The Woodman at Woodlaithes Village for his support and for the superb buffet at the end of the day.

Thanks also to the many people in Wickersley, Bramley and Woodlaithes who dug deep to help us raise such a fabulous sum.

Last but not least, thank you to the 3-legged teams who were not afraid to make fools of themselves and to the many people who helped out in any way on the day. Thank you all on behalf of the street children of Manilla
