Hide AdLabour has had a monopoly in Rotherham for too long. The Conservative party is the main opposition on the council and as we need it to be a stronger group, this is your opportunity to vote for them and enable them to continue in their efforts to hold this council to account.
Cllr Parker's comments now seem to be correct, in that the Independent group agreed not to put up anyone to stand against the Labour candidate.

I note that in Doncaster, Labour has 25 seats and the other parties 38; in Barnsley Labour has 32 seats and the other parties 30; in Sheffield, Labour has 36 seats and the other parties 48; but in Rotherham Labour has 49 seats and the other parties 14.
