Parking madness

Sir, Has Rotherham Council gone mad? Don't they want people to come and shop in the town centre. Why have they change a number of car parks to pay by phone only?

What happens if you don't have a mobile phone or no credit on it?

According to the council's notice on the entrance to the carp park, "if you can't pay, find somewhere else to park." I call that really welcoming.

I did notice when parking up on Friday how empty the car park was and I saw a number of cars driving away.

We did have free parking for some months, which was good because I would go into town to just look around and more often than not I would gom home with something, but again that has been taken away.

At least Meadowhall is free to park so maybe people will go there. Well done Rotherham!
