New York Stadium a credit to Rotherham
Sir-- Living in Maltby, my wife and I seldom venture into Rotherham, the last couple of decades seeing a gradual decline of a once wonderful town centre.
However, on Thursday we had to make a visit. On Alma Road the New York Stadium came into view and the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end.
What a fantastic achievment, a truly iconic structure that will be the envy of many other football clubs, I think this will go a long way to putting rotherham back on the map, a huge thank you to Mr Tony Stewart and Rotherham Borough Council for making this happen.
I would hope that Mr Stewart could name some part of the stadium to one of Rotherham United's greatest servants, Mr Danny Williams.
