Letter: UKIP reps seemed like bigots

AT Rotherham show I spoke to two representatives of the UKIP party at their site tent.

When I asked them what their policies were one said that they (UKIP) wanted to prevent building on green belt land; but after several minutes of questioning he couldn’t tell me what other policies they were to implement.

His colleague told me that their party were to make sure that councillors attended meetings! Neither of them could expand on their policies any further than that.

I suggested that UKIP had no policies other than their well documented racist agenda. Disturbingly, this was not denied by either of them. I suggested that they both were UKIP members because they were racists. This suggestion was met with a gazing in the sky, silence by one and a smug grin — that told me a lot — by the other. Their defence was that there were four million UKIP voters. All racists?

To me these two are narrow minded bigots who have no concern for their fellow man and as representatives of this insidious party that they should go away and think what they are about.

I would like to think that they have thought through my advice.
