LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Take down plastic poppies
I WRITE a fortnight after Remembrance Sunday and four weeks before Christmas Day to question why attention is being drawn to both events on lamp posts in outlying parts of Rotherham Borough.
Might I respectfully suggest that it is time for the increasingly-soiled plastic poppies to be taken down to be cleaned and put away until next November?
This would leave any Christmas lights to shine alone in celebration.
