LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Still at the forefront of heart battle
OVER the last nine years Start-a-Heart 24:7 have donated more than 100 safe cabinets for external defibrillators to communities in Rotherham. The communities fundraise for the defibrillators and agree to maintain them to provide 24/7 response in the event of an emergency.
Each defibrillator has a named Guardian and we are so grateful to the vast majority of them for ensuring that the units are always “Emergency Ready”. It is therefore particularly disappointing when this doesn’t happen, as highlighted in your article on November 3.
