LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Great show

ROTHERHAM comes in for a lot of stick and deservedly so, but credit where it is due.

I popped along with my husband to Rotherham Show on Saturday and was very impressed.

There seemed to be more entertainment on offer than before and less in the way of charities hassling you to donate.

It was more spread out, there was plenty of room, good music, a fruit and veg tent, cookery demonstrations, a dog show, a strongman competition and a brilliant fairground, as well as a good amount of food and drink stalls.

It wasn’t well publicised though — except for in the Advertiser — and I think that led to less people being there than normal, which was a shame.
