Great day out

LAST week  my colleagues and I took some of our residents from Lord Hardy Court to a day at the leisure centre with the Active Always team, and what a time we had — they loved it and won their boules trophy.

It was wonderful to see them enjoying themselves so much, the young woman Amy and her team together with the leisure staff and aged forum staff were brilliant. We then went on to the lovely Whitbys for fish and chips where we were looked after superbly.

Many thanks to everyone. We returned home with very tired but happy old people who had a lovely day. Active Rotherham is such a good thing with something for everyone  who needs it.

Well done to you all, let’s hope we get many more days like this. Someone, like my late dad used to say, has backed a winner
