Concern over hospital hygiene

Sir -  In a few weeks I will be going in to hospital for an operation.

When I  went for my assessment I was given some instructions on how to use some body wash a few days before the operation.

I have to wash all over, hair included ,put on clean night wear, change all the bedding and I have no problem at all with that .

What I do have a problem with myself and everyone else doing this will be clean and be less likley to take any germs in hospital causing the MRSA  bug.

But what about the staff who wear their uniforms, going backwards and forwards to work tell me please this cannot be hygenic.

Why is there not a rule where uniforms should only be worn when on duty and not outside the hospital?
