Broadband project could be money wasted

I WOULD not pay extra for faster broadband for myself as I do not need it, just consistent service.

Before they do, however, this useless council with lack of knowledge of such things should take a look at Sheffield and several other surrounding counties who signed up with BT. BT, in my opinion a private overcharging monopoly, failed to give anything for the money they took and I believe, as a result, about 12/18 months ago the project went bust.

It certainly cost Sheffield Council thousands of pounds.

Who, with any sense, signs up for a contract without knowing what they will be getting, especially from BT?

I forgot, it’s taxpayers’, money so who cares? BT certainly does not and someone should ask how they got the contract.

I have not had BT since privatisation and never will.
