Yorkshire Regiment marches to mark Freedom of Rotherham
About 100 men from the 3rd Battalion (the Duke of Wellington's Regiment) will march around the town on June 23 - as is their right after the Yorkshire Regiment was presented with the Freedom of the Rotherham Borough last August.
Led by Col. Simon Newton, the men will be escorted by the military band of the King's Division, the Duke's Drummers, a colour party of nine men, and a six-man flanking escort.

The parade will continue its march round the town, through the square again, where the Mayor will take the salute, before making its way back to Douglas Street.
The Yorkshire Regiment will also have a recruiting team in the town on the day as well as a special display of two armoured vehicles, including a Warrior.
