Woman rescued from Conisbrough kitchen fire
AN ELDERLY woman was rescued from her home after a chip pan fire in her kitchen.
Firefighters were called to a bungalow in Leslie Avenue, Conisbrough, shortly after 6.30pm yesterday (Tuesday).
The resident had been trying to get out of the property but was unable to find her keys, a spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

Hide AdHe added: “A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and rescued the lady through the front window. The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance.”
The fire service recommends never using a chip pan or any other pan filled with hot oil.
