Witnesses to serious collision still needed

POLICE are still appealing for witnesses to a collision which left a 78-year-woman with life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened on August 2 at 1.35pm in North Anston.

Police say that a white Ford Transit van emerged from Woodsetts Road and turned right onto The Baulk heading towards Nursery Road when it collided with the woman opposite The Cutler pub.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a stable condition.

Police believe there may have been a near miss collision minutes earlier involving the woman and another vehicle in the same area.

Police say that any witnesses should get in touch with information by calling 101.
