Witness plea over death crash
POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a crash which left a man dead.
A 63-year-old driver died when his purple Citroen C5 left the road, crossed a grass verge and ended up in a ditch on Hoober Lane just before 6.40am on Thursday.
The man, from Barnsley, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police do not believe any other vehicles were involved.
