A KITCHEN window was smashed by a fire started in a wheely bin at a house.

A KITCHEN window was smashed by a fire started in a wheely bin which had been pushed against a house.

Fire officers were called to the property on Ferham Road, Holmes, at 8.40pm yesterday evening.

Firefighters ventilated the property and used a hose reel to extinguish the blaze.

No one was hurt.
