Weather warning issued for Rotherham

WEATHER warnings have been issued for Wednesday and Thursday across South Yorkshire.

The Met Office says sleet is likely from Wednesday morning, turning to snow which could last until nearly midnight on Thursday.

A spokesperson said:  “A cold and increasingly showery north-westerly flow is expected to develop during Wednesday and last through Thursday. Accumulating snow is likely away from windward coastal districts, especially overnight. Across Northern England three to six centimetres could accumulate especially over high ground.”
