He was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Sheffield Crown Court a week later.

Rogers is the second man to be charged with attempted murder after Mr Woodhead was shot in the upper body as he answered the door at his home on Doncaster Road, Wath, on September 20.

Nathan Wingfield (22) was officially charged at Rotherham Magistrates Court on September 29 before being remanded in custody.

Mr Woodhead remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital following the incident.

Anyone with information about the shooting should contact South Yorkshire Police by dialling 101, quoting incident 1146 of September 20.
