Unemployed group sets up bikers' internet site
South Yorkshire social enterprise Global Bike Tours has launched the site www.globalbiketours.com to help motor-cyclists in all parts of the globe to find out about 1,500 tours managed by 200 tour operators.
Global Bike Tours was founded as a not-for profit social enterprise to help disadvantaged people train and eventually get jobs.

Andrew Coulthard, Global Bike Tours’ founder, said: “Our associates are extremely talented people who may not have had the best start in life, and because of this they're people many companies are unprepared to take a chance on.
“Global Bike Tours is about giving them a fresh-start in life and helping them to develop.
“These are passionate, committed and enthusiastic people and with the right help they can go on to be extremely successful.

Users are able to search the website for tours by continent, country, type (on/off-road), or price, and can contact the tour operator directly for more information or to make a booking.
Mr Coulthard added: “A number of biker friends told me they wished there was a central place to find bike tours, without having to go through every tour operator, so we decided to fill that gap.
“The website is completely free and allows users to find tours operating anywhere in the world, and hopefully experience adventures that will change their lives forever.”
