Trial for murder of Maltby man begins today

THE TRIAL of a man accused of killing “vulnerable” Paul Sandford in Maltby last October begins today in Sheffield.

Mr Sandford (38) died in hospital five days after a “brutal and unprovoked” attack at his Littlehey Close home on October 30.

Adam Goodridge (30), of Huntington Way, was charged with his murder last November 14 and remanded into custody.

Goodridge will appear at Sheffield Crown Court this morning for the start of a trial which is expected to take two-and-a-half weeks.
