RAILWAY lines at Rotherham Central station and at Mexborough are still under water this morning (Friday) after yesterday's downpour.

Northern Rail said that due to severe flooding at Rotherham Central, Moorthorpe and Conisbrough, services between Sheffield and Leeds and Sheffield and Doncaster were suspended until further notice.

It said there were no rail replacement services available due to a lack of vehicles available and flooded roads.
