Fallen tree closes road
POLICE closed a main road for over an hour after a fallen tree blocked traffic.
Doncaster Road was shut from Old Garden Road to Middle Lane between 1.30pm and 2.50pm on Sunday.
Rotherham Council staff attended and cleared the toppled tree.
An eyewitnesses said it blocked both lanes and may have fallen on a car, but a police spokeswoman said no vehicle damage was reported.
