Alan Burley of Woolley Wood Road, Sheffield, pleaded guilty by post when charged with using his mother-in-law's blue badge to park his car on Domine Lane.

Burley (63), was fined £37 and ordered to pay £115 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Rotherham Borough Council's parking services manager, Martin Beard, said: “These are more successful prosecutions in cases of anti-social parking which deprives genuine people of much needed parking spaces.

“The authority will continue its campaign against such fraudulent activities.”
