The director was handed the honour for his long standing support to the printing industry and the BPIF throughout his career.

He received it from the president of the federation Tony Garnish in front of an audience of invited print industry figures with MPs and Lords in attendance.

Mr Dean began his career with Garnett Dickinson Print at its former town centre offices in the early 1970s as an apprentice printer and worked for the company for 27 years, finally as customer service director.

He is now responsible for sales at B & B Press which provides a wide range of printed matter for many local companies and organisations.
