Three quizzed over college student stabbing

THREE teenagers have been questioned after a Rotherham College student was stabbed in the town centre.

Two 16-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of assault following the attack near Rotherham College, Eastwood Lane, at around 12.50pm, on Wednesday.

A police spokesman said the student — a 16-year-old boy — was taken to hospital with injuries believed to have been caused a knife.

The three youths arrested have all been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The spokesman said officers have been at the college today (Thursday) to provide reassurance to students and staff.
