Three arson attacks around the borough
A FLAT-bed lorry was destroyed in a fire in Parkgate this morning (Wednesday).
Firefighters from Rotherham station were called to Stonerow Way at 6.25am where arsonists had set the lorry alight, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.
They left the scene at 6.45am.
The same crew also dealt with an earlier arson attack on a heavy goods trailer in Rawmarsh Road at 2.45am.
Last night, rubbish was also deliberately set on fire in Victoria Street, Goldthorpe, at 8.30pm. A crew from Cudworth station was at the scene for 30 minutes.
