Thirty firefighters tackle farm blaze

SIX fire engines were called to tackle a blaze in two farm buildings which left a cloud of smoke rising over the area.

Around 30 firefighters fought the buildings full of straw at Holywell Farm, Wentworth Road in Swinton on Thursday (Sep 11) morning.

The cause of the incident, which started at around 4.20am, is still being investigated but the Fire Brigade said that the public should not have health concerns about the smoke.

There were no injuries.
