Takeaway blaze at Wombwell
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze in a Wombwell takeaway early this morning (Tuesday).
Crews from Cudworth and Dearne stations went to Barnsley Road at 2.10am.
A South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said: “The fire involved an extraction unit and electrical appliance and is believed to have started accidentally. The crews left at 3:50am.”
Elsewhere, rubbish was deliberately set alight at Rother Road in Canklow at 11.30pm yesterday.
