Street cordoned off after man stabbed in head and hand

POLICE have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing which resulted in part of a street being cordoned off.

A police spokeswoman confirmed that a man had been stabbed in the head and hand in an alleged attack that took place on Reynolds Close, Flanderwell, at around 8pm on Thursday night.

She added: “The injuries sustained by the man were not life-threatening.”

Police made an arrest following the incident and were were investigating the incident on Friday afternoon.

One local resident said that they had been left “shocked and concerned” after police cordoned off parts of Reynolds Close and Markfield Drive on Thursday evening.
