Sex game trial jury still out

The jury in a sex game murder trial is still out after more than four hours of considering its verdict

THE jury in a sex game murder trial has spent the morning deliberating over their verdict on love cheat Jason O’Malley, who is alleged to have strangled his girlfriend Kerry Sneddon during a kinky sex session.

They were sent out late yesterday afternoon at Sheffield Crown Court but has yet to reach a verdict.

O’Malley is alleged to have murder Kerry during a sex session as her baby slept upstairs at their Rotherham home before claiming he had lost his memory.

His barrister, Mr Simon Bourne-Arton QC, told the jury in his closing speech last week to “put aside” what they might regard as sexual deviance or inappropriate behaviour.

Twice-married O’Malley, who denies murder, told the jury that Kerry liked him to squeeze her throat during sex to improve her orgasm and she would tap him on the side to release her.

But he could not recall if he had done so on the night she died.
