Series of fires across Rotherham
FIREMEN were called to a pile of burning rubbish that had been set alight deliberately in one of a series of incidents on Tuesday night.
They were called to the scene at New Orchard Lane, Thurcroft, at 9.10pm.
A large pile of wood caught fire in Wombwell on the same evening. Fire crews were called at 8.40pm to tackle the blaze on Roy Kilner Road. No cause for the fire has been determined yet.
A fire crew also had to put out a burning tree on Worksop Road, Swallownest, that night. They spent 15 minutes tackling the blaze.
No cause for the fire has been determined.
