LESSONS got underway at all of Rotherham's schools today after a week of disruption.

Pupils at the borough's 125 schools returned to the classroom this morning as temperatures finally inched above freezing.

Bus services were still experiencing some disruption to their regular routes, however.

The South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive confirmed that some minor roads remain casualties of the weather.

The following route changes are currently in place: service 33 is missing out Howarth Road, in Brinsworth; service 43A is missing Rhodes Avenue; service X78 is missing Conisbrough (using Sheffield Road); and Service 220/221 missing out the Windhill Estate, Rawmarsh, and Conisbrough Hill Top and is using Doncaster Road between Denaby and The Star pub, Conisbrough, instead.
