SAFE@LAST targets games makers for funding

A ROTHERHAM children’s charity is calling on video game makers to vote for it to receive vital funding.

GamesAid is a video-games-industry based charity that distributes funds to a diverse range of children’s and young people’s charities — it is a means of giving something back on behalf of the industry and gamers.

Last year, Dinnington-based SAFE@LAST received funding from GamesAid to support its work with vulnerable children.

SAFE@LAST has been nominated to receive funding this year by Gravity Recruitment, a Doncaster based games recruitment agency.

Managing director James Squires said: “We have supported SAFE@LAST for several years and we’re delighted to be able to nominate them to receive funding from GamesAid.

“It’s a fantastic charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable young runaways in South Yorkshire.

“We hope others in the games industry will vote for them too.”
