Rudston kids’ Blue Peter joy

PUPILS at Rudston School were delighted to received a surprise in the post — a delivery of green Blue Peter badges.

Green badges are awarded for sending in letters, pictures and videos that are about the environment, conservation or nature.

Eleanor Proctor-Smith, assistant head and Year 2 class teacher, said: “The children all worked so hard on their Rainforest work in Year 2, providing some wonderful work.

“They researched passionately to create their own factfiles and we felt they deserved some recognition outside of the usual stickers and certificates from school.

“We parcelled up their fact files and posters and sent them off to Blue Peter —they were equally impressed and the children were awarded a prestigious Blue Peter badge.

“Well done to all the children, who will be wearing their badges with pride.”
