Rubbish fires send smoke billowing across Greasbrough

FIREFIGHTERS spent four hours tackling a series of rubbish fires.

Three fire engines were called to tackle a blaze among separate stacks of rubbish out in the open at Gin House Lane, Greasbrough.

They were called at 7.37pm on Sunday and spent about four hours at the scene.

There were three stacks of rubbish and the cause of the fire has not yet been determnined.

An eyewitness said: “There were lots of smoke and flames.”
