Rotherham High Street "one of UK's best"
ROTHERHAM'S High Street is in the running to be named one of the best in the country, we can reveal.
The Department for Communities and Local Government has announced Rotherham among three finalists in the Town Centre category of the Great British High Street contest.

Hide AdPart of the council town centre team's entry focused on the #LoveRotherham initiative launched with the Advertiser this summer.
Twenty-one finalists across the competitions seven categories — City, Coastal Communities, Local Centre, London, Market Town, Town Centre and Village — now have the chance to impress an expert judging panel and battle it out in the public vote to be crowned Britain’s best.
People can now vote online until the end of November by visiting the Great British High Street site.
Altrincham and Tamworth are the other two finalists in Rotherham’s category.

Hide AdThe winners in each category will get a share of an £80,000 prize pot, which includes expert training from Google for 100 of their shops, bars and restaurants.
Shortlisted towns will be inspected by the Future High Streets Forum judging panel made up of industry leaders from across retail, property and business.
