Rotherham gym in running to be UK's best

A Rotherham college gym is in the running to be crowned the best in the country for looking after its members.

The TR Sports facility at Thomas Rotherham College is down to the last five in the contest to win a National Fitness Award for excellence in customer service.

Staff will find out if they have won today at a ceremony at the National Railway Museum in York.

Gym manager Daniel Wilson said: “We are extremely proud to have reached this stage as over the years the gym has improved in every way maintaining high standards of customer service.

“Obviously we have not won the award yet but it is an achievement in itself to be short-listed down to the final five in the UK.”
