The passing of the resolution means that the chamber's pepresentative council will appoint two new non-executive directors in February and two new vice-presidents in March.

Members also voted in favour of reducing the numbers of board directors and representation council members, while the re-elected and new representation council members were also welcomed.

Chris MacCormac, Chamber President, said: “The passing of this resolution will allow us to progress as a united chamber with one executive director, one united board of directors, one united representation council and one president.

“We will serve our members, our employees and our communities to a brighter and better future, regardless of geography with the full intent of being the ultimate business network.
