Rodney returns home!

A PARROT that went squawk about for nine days was feathering his nest back home this week — thanks to the Advertiser.

Richard Sharpe and Mandy Hutton received a call to say that Rodney, a Pionus Maximillian, had been found in the back garden of a property in Maltby within hours of the Advertiser’s appeal to help the couple track him down.

On the same day as Rodney went missing the Rev Jo Siddall was moving to her new home on Moorgate, from her previous home in Huddersfield, when her African Grey parrot Archie also went missing.

Archie, who is part of the Rev Siddall’s travelling petting zoo and a regular hit at nursing homes and in schools with his renditions of popular hits from Lady Gaga and Will.i.am, is yet to be found.

Rev Siddall said: “I’ve spent the week walking the streets, calling out his name, but we’ve yet to get a glimpse of him.”

Anyone with information about Archie’s whereabouts should contact Rev Siddall on 0797 422 7752.
