RICHMOND PARK: fun day success

MEMBERS of a tenants’ group put aside the theft of a £100 banner advertising their annual fun day to turn the event into a success.

Richmond Park Tenants’ and Residents’ Association welcomed visitors from Kimberworth and further afield to their base off Richmond Park Avenue for an afternoon of fun, entertainment and activities.

It came just days after thieves removed their banner from nearby trees, where it had been suspended 12ft off the ground.

“The successful day was not only due to a good turn out but the dedication of committee members, help of volunteers on the day and donations from local businesses, so I want to say a big thank you to all who were involved and supported the event,” said group chairman Ian Jones.
