RCAT celebrates £1m grant boost

ROTHERHAM College of Arts and Technology has won a £1m development grant.

The money will go towards the £3m transformation of the college’s Town Centre campus, which is due to be completed by September.

The improved campus will add to the facilities provided by the £7m Wentworth Building, which opened last year.

Gill Alton, chief executive and principal of RCAT, said: “This is fantastic news for the college, for our students and for Rotherham.”

The college is the only one in the region one of 46 nationwide the only one in this region to receive the Enhanced Renewal Grant, which is awarded by the Skills Funding Agency.
