Pupil taken to hospital after Clifton School incident

POLICE are on duty at a troubled school following a large fight between dozens of pupils.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital after troubled flared at Clifton School, which is in special measures.

Officers were called at 2.30pm on Monday to reports of an altercation between pupils.

The school was now investigating and being provided with support by police this week, a spokesman said.

He added: “No complaints of assault have been received by police and the school is investigating the matter.

“Officers are providing support to the school and there will be an increased police presence in the local area in the coming days.”
