Pub cleared in kitchen blaze

A ROTHERHAM pub was evacuated after a fire in its first floor living accommodation.

A smoke detector raised the alarm at The Park Hotel, on Badsley Moor Lane, Clifton, at 9.30pm on Tuesday, after an unattended pan had caught fire on the hob.

Around 30 staff and customers were evacuated until the arrival of firefighters, who removed the pan from the ring and ventilated the kitchen.
