£100,000 Lotto prize claimed

LOTTERY bosses have announced that an outstanding prize of almost £100,000 has now been claimed.

Camelot, operator of The National Lottery, appealed last week for the Rotherham-based holder of winning ticket from the September 18 draw to come forward and claim their £97,817 prize.

And the firm confirmed this week that the winner has now made themselves known, although they have not revealed his or her identity.

A National Lottery spokesman said: "We're delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.

“It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-enhancing amount of money.

“We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play."
