Probe after empy house goes up in flames
MORE than 20 firefighters tackled a large blaze over the weekend at a house in Rotherham.
Crews from Mansfield Road, Darnall and Aston Park fire stations were called to the two storey property on Mansfield Road, Swallownest, shortly after 7.30pm on Saturday.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, hose reels and an aerial ladder platform to bring the fire under control at the vacant property.
The incident is believed to have started in the front bedroom, with the cause of the fire under investigation.
