Probe after builder's yard blaze

FIREFIGHTERS spent three hours battling a fire at a builder’s yard in Greasbrough this morning.

Two crews from Rotherham fire station and one from Dearne attended the incident at Coopers, on Church Street, shortly after 6am this morning.

A fire service spokeswoman said that the blaze had started in a derelict brick building at the site.

Crews were still in attendance shortly after 8.30am and efforts were under way to establish the cause of the fire.
