Six in court over huge Rotherham cannabis haul

SIX men have appeared in court after 3,000 cannabis plants were found in an industrial unit this morning.

Police found the drugs farm when they were called to a suspected burglary at Eden Close, Hellaby, at 12.40am.

Six men with London addresses appeared before magistrates in Rotherham this morning after being charged with conspiracy to produce and supply cannabis.

They are  Michael Charles Ward (22), of Melbourne Road, East Ham; Philip Agostinho (24), of Fordspark Road in Carrington; Karl West (28), of Blaney Crescent; Jemal Mehmat Ali (23), of William Morley Close; Tuan Phan (35), of Charles Coveney Road in Peckham, and James Mattin (22), of Harrier Way.

They were remanded in custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on November 22.
