Murder hearing to take place today

A HEARING will take place today (12) into the murder of 35-year-old Darfield woman Chantelle Barnsdale-Quean.

Stephen Barnsdale-Quean, of Upperwood Road, Darfield, will appear at Sheffield Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing.

The 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder after Chantelle Barnsdale-Quean was found dead at a property on Upperwood Road shortly after 4.20pm on Monday, March 4.

He was treated for stab wounds and taken to hospital before being discharged and charged with murder.

A trial date has been set for September 2.
