Man facing murder charge

A MAN charged with the murder of 35-year-old Chantelle Barnsdale-Quean has been remanded in custody by magistrates.

Stephen Barnsdale-Quean appeared at Barnsley Magistrates Court on Friday and the case was committed to Sheffield Crown Court where he will appear on Friday.

Barnsdale-Quean (42) was arrested on suspicion of murder after Chantelle Barnsdale-Quean was found dead at an an address on Upperwood Road, Darfield, shortly after 4.20pm on Monday, March 4.

The 42-year-old was treated for stab wounds and taken to hospital before being discharged last Thursday.
