Herringthorpe murder suspect due in court

Anthony McCall (55), of Redscope Crescent, Kimberworth, will be at Sheffield Crown Court tomorrow for a hearing in connection with the murder of 59-year-old Michael Riches.

Police were called to a property on Swinburne Place in Herringthorpe, at around 7.30pm on Sunday, October 6.

Mr Riches was found with life-threatening injuries and died later at Rotherham Hospital.

McCall was arrested at the scene and appeared before Rotherham Magistrates’ Court two days later, when he was remanded in custody.
